Bend Language Institute

Due to concerns over COVID-19, we will be holding our youth and adult language courses and private language lessons online for the months of March and April. We take social distancing very seriously and want to help protect the health of our community members. But this doesn’t mean we have to stop learning!

We have developed a range of opportunities to keep both adults and youth learning while at home. Our new programs include: remote Spanish courses for elementary and middle school students, discounted remote Spanish tutoring for youth, an Italian language film course, and remote one-to-one tutoring. In addition, all of our standard adult language courses in French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese have moved online.

We know that some people are new to digital technologies, so we are offering “drop-in” sessions where community members can learn more tools such as Zoom as well as have the opportunity to meet our language teachers. These sessions will be held March 31 – April 2. You can find more about these sessions under the “News” section of our website.
